I made a pretty cool mailbox a while ago. I used steel tube and plate and my own custom design. The house is by the golf course so I added clubs with the house number. I made a customizable base that can be converted to a putting green for special occasions, or just metal for day to day use.
Here is the finished mailbox with the putting green effect. I had a bit of the turf carpet. I picked up the clubs at second hand stores. I really lucked out with the 1 iron! I bought the hole and flag on Amazon. #ad. It is a 3 foot flag and built in ABS hole cup. https://amzn.to/4dus5dB.

This is the base without one of the plates. I did not get a photo of the installation. I designed it so the riser tube fits over a steel fence post. We used my fence post driver (#ad, https://amzn.to/4dJOXXP) to install the post and the mailbox simply slid over it. We put some gravel under the bottom base to stabilize it. I picked up this handy welder! It is the Forney 100 ST. It comes ready for stick, and supports TIG if you buy the electrode. I use mine on 120v and it works very well. I have a pretty heavy duty apron I got in 2020 from Amazon! Before I started using the apron the grinder and welder sparks ripped up my clothes.
